Dr Miray Zaki - CIO & Head of Asset Management
Dr. Miray Zaki is a seasoned investment professional with over two decades of experience across institutional asset management, private equity, venture capital and global investment platforms.
She currently serves as Managing Director at Pegasus Capital, a US-based global investment firm focused on sustainable investing across ecotourism, wellness, energy transition, food and water. She also chairs Planthesis, a sustainability-focused global venture capital fund.
Throughout her career, Miray has managed more than US$18.5 billion in assets across a range of investment strategies. Her previous roles include Chief Investment Officer of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation, Senior Portfolio Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Vice President at Endeavor Capital, and positions with Deutsche Bank, Orascom Telecom and Schlumberger.
Miray has been recognised internationally for her contributions to the investment industry, including being twice nominated among the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Finance by Dow Jones Financial News. She was also a Fulbright Scholar and among the youngest individuals globally nominated to the Aspen Institute.
She holds a PhD in Financial Management, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Bachelor of Science from the American University in Cairo, and is a CFA Charterholder. She currently serves on the Board of Avanz Global Markets.
