Paul Friedman - Global Head of Strategic Opportunities
Paul is Global Head of Strategic Opportunities at Al Liwan, covering all sectors and geographies, He has 30 years of experience working alongside international financial institutions, family offices and sovereign wealth funds.
Born in South Africa, Paul spent the first part of his career as a London based partner at a global law firm, travelling extensively throughout the world. For the past decade, he has been fully focused on family office investments and co-founded a multi-family office now run by a professional management team. He joined Al Liwan in 2025 and is a member of the Abu Dhabi based Executive Leadership Team.
With a large network of contacts at some of the world’s top institutions and family offices, Paul focuses on identifying interesting opportunities for Al Liwan and its partners, wherever they may be found.
