Veronica Shim - Head of Wealth Management
Veronica is Head of Wealth Management at Al Liwan Capital and a seasoned wealth management executive with over 20 years of experience advising Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individuals, families and family offices across Asia, the Middle East and international markets.
Prior to joining Al Liwan, Veronica held senior leadership positions at leading Swiss private banks, including Managing Director and Head of Southeast Asia at EFG Bank and as a founding member of Bank Julius Baer's Singapore platform. During her banking career, she consistently ranked among the firm's top performers, receiving Top 10 Achiever recognition for six consecutive years.
In addition to her private banking experience, Veronica is a successful entrepreneur who has established and scaled multi-family office platforms, including one that grew to over US$1 billion in assets under management within its first year. Her expertise spans wealth structuring, investment advisory, family office services, succession planning and cross-border wealth management.
Veronica is also actively involved in impact investing and the ESG sector, advising innovative businesses focused on electric mobility, sustainability and emerging technologies.
She holds a Master's Degree in Applied Finance (Distinction) from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance (First Class Honours) from the University of London. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), and is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa Indonesia and Malay.
At Al Liwan Capital, Veronica is responsible for building and leading the Wealth Management platform, providing bespoke advisory and investment solutions to entrepreneurs, families, family offices and institutional clients across the region and internationally.
